Frequently Asked Questions
It’s easy—just choose one of many convenient ways to pay:
Online: Make or schedule a payment at OneMain Financial log-in using your bank account, debit card, Google Pay or Apple Pay.
OneMain Mobile App: Make or schedule a payment from anywhere using your mobile phone or tablet. Download the OneMain app today in your app store.
AutoPay: Set up automatic, recurring payments using your bank account. Log into your OneMain online account or download the OneMain app to choose the schedule that works for you.
Phone: Call 833-390-2034 and follow the automated prompts to pay using your bank account or debit card.
In-Branch: Visit any OneMain branch to make a payment one of the following ways: - Debit card - Bank account - Money order - Check
Cash: Pay in cash at participating CVS®, 7-Eleven, Casey's General Store® or Family Dollar locations. Log into your online account and choose cash as your payment method. Then, follow the prompts to text a personalized code to your phone or ask your local branch for a code before making a payment.
Mail: Send a personal check, cashier’s check or money order to the address on your billing statement. You can always find your billing statement in your online account or OneMain app.

Payments are due monthly, but you can make payments as often as you like.
To make payments automatically every month using AutoPay, log in to your OneMainFinancial.com account and enroll in AutoPay. To make a one-time payment today, please visit the Make a Payment page.
To request a change to your payment due date, please call, mail, or email your local branch. Your local branch will review your request to determine if you are eligible.
Eligibility Conditions
- You may request one due date change in a 12-month period.
- No more than two due date changes may be processed over the life of a loan.
- Due date may not be advanced more than 15 days.
- Due date may not be changed if the account is 10 or more days past due.
- Due date may not be changed until the first contractual loan payment has been made.

There are three ways to request a payoff amount for your loan:
- Log in to your OneMainFinancial.com account and click "Request a Payoff." You will be asked to provide the reason for the payoff and the number at which we can contact you. Within 24 hours of your request, a loan specialist from OneMain will call you to provide you with your payoff information.
- Call us today at (800) 961-5577. To pay off your loan, you can also call our Customer Service number. A OneMain loan specialist will ask you to provide the reason for the payoff and then provide you with your payoff information.
- Contact your local branch that services your loan. To pay off your loan, you can also call the phone number of the branch servicing your loan. To find this number, refer to your monthly statement, which you can access after you log in to your OneMainFinancial.com account. A OneMain loan specialist will ask you to provide the reason for the payoff and then provide you with your payoff information.
No. Please refer to your loan documents for more information. If you want to pay off your personal loan early, you can do so any time and OneMain will not charge you a prepayment fee.
To pay off your loan early, you can:
- Make a one-time payment for the total outstanding balance
- Pay an extra amount when you make your regularly scheduled monthly payment
OneMain will do its best to release its lien on a motor vehicle within 15 days of receipt of the payoff amount. Please note that the release may take longer in certain circumstances.
AutoPay is a free service that automatically deducts your payment from your checking or savings account each month.
To enroll in AutoPay, follow these simple steps:
- Log in to your OneMainFinancial.com account.
- Click “Enroll in AutoPay” located on the Account Summary page under the Billing and Payment Settings section.
- Enter the required information in the Enroll for AutoPay page and click “Continue.”
- Review your selections on the Enrollment Summary page.
- Read the AutoPay terms and electronically sign the Enrollment Form for AutoPay.
You will receive an email once your AutoPay enrollment is complete. Please note it may take up to 24 hours for your enrollment to process in our system.
To cancel your entire enrollment in the AutoPay program (all future payments), please contact a team member at your local branch office or our customer CARE department at (800) 290-7002.
To cancel an individual AutoPay payment, you can log into your online profile or speak with a team member as outlined above.
Note: Your entire enrollment in the AutoPay program cannot be cancelled through your online profile.
If you need to cancel your next upcoming payment, you can complete that within the Manage Payments section of your online account. In certain situations, such as AutoPay, payments beyond the next scheduled payment cannot be cancelled online. Please call your local branch if you need assistance cancelling or changing any payment details.
- Reminder: If you change your bank account information for payments online, this will not update the bank account used for AutoPay or for any already scheduled payment. Scheduled payments will need to be cancelled and set up again with the new bank account information. Please call your branch for assistance with these situations.
