The Servicemembers Civil Relief Act benefits

For customers of OneMain Financial, Foursight Capital and BrightWay® credit cards

Protecting you as you protect us. Thank you for your service.

The purpose of the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SC RA) is to allow active duty servicemembers to fully dedicate their time and energy to defending the United States and protecting our brave men and women.

We are committed to ensuring that all eligible servicemembers and their dependents receive SCRA benefits. The SCRA provides protection and relief to OneMain, Foursight and BrightWay customers who enter active military service. See below for more information about who is eligible for benefits.

How to request SCRA benefits

Click the link below to fill out a request form. Provide all the details requested and any additional information that would be beneficial for the SCRA Specialist to know. Additionally, you may attach supporting documentation including, but not limited to:

  • Activation orders
  • Enlistment documentation
  • Commanding officer letters
  • Discharge papers (DD 214)
  • Power of attorney forms

To ensure you receive the benefits to which you may be entitled, please submit your request anytime from the date you receive your orders to 180 days after discharge from active duty. If you have a mortgage serviced by OneMain, you may request benefits for up to one year after your discharge.

Eligible servicemembers

If you are serving on active duty, you may be eligible for SCRA benefits concerning your loan and/or credit card account.

SCRA benefits apply to:

  • Active duty members of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard or Space Force
  • Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps or Coast Guard reservists called up for active duty
  • Commissioned officers of the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) on active service
  • Commissioned officers of the Public Health Service on active service
  • National Guard members who are called to active service for more than 30 consecutive days when authorized by the President or the Secretary of Defense. (Some state laws provide similar benefits for National Guard members called to active duty under state-issued orders.)

Some benefits and protections may also extend to dependents of the active duty service member.

If you are serving on active duty, you may be eligible for SCRA benefits concerning your OneMain account.
